Disney Discovery is pleased to offer your family a variety of themed staterooms. Each deck has a different theme, complete with a variety of room configurations and sizes, special children's areas within the rooms, and all of the luxury amenities Disney cruise lines are known for.

Classes and Workshops

Disney Imagineers will teach fun workshops designed for families to enjoy together. Subjects such as animation and drawing, creative writing and storytelling, and acting and singing, will be available on every voyage.Work together to create a mini-animated film, learn a choreographed song and dance, or act out a Disney scene. Each voyage will have a talent night to showcase the new creativity your family has discovered!

Training in surfing, scuba diving, rock climbing, cooking, scrapbooking and photography will also be offered by experienced professionals. Together you can share an adventure or document your time together!

Opportunities for families to learn from each other bring a unique touch to recreation on Discovery. Directed dance workshops--where all ages can teach one other the dances of their generation--will encourage families to interact and enjoy their shipboard time together. Short production numbers, directed by Disney cast members, will be offered as family participation activities and will provide entertainment for the whole ship on Family Talent Night.

Clubs for all ages

For those times when parents or grandparents would like to have a bit of "alone" time, the ship will still offer age-appropriate activity clubs, so that you know your family is well taken care of and having fun.

A fully supervised Kids' club includes a kids' Fantasyland complete with a castle-inspired entryway. Inside are plenty of games, directed activities, story-telling centers, climbing structures and play equipment, as well as quiet spaces for kids to rest.

Teens will have their own virtual amusement park, inspired by DisneyQuest filled with the latest in virtual reality games and interactive challenges.

Adults will have three themed nightclubs for their night-time entertainment.

Pools and exercise offerings

Our huge Nemo Pool deck, centered by King Triton's castle is a place the entire family can enjoy.

Three pools--a shallow wading beach pool with a jellyfish bouncing area for little ones; an adults-only lap pool with a hot tub; and a large central pool with waterslides and waterplay areas--form the centerpiece of the deck area.

The Great Barrier Reef, including a cliff-like climbing wall, a bungee-trampoline, tide pools stocked with live sea creatures for hands-on reef exploration, waterslides, a lazy river area, and a Surf-rider wave pool for surfing.

Grab a body board and surf a continuous wave that moves 36,000 gallons of water per minute. The wave flows over a special surface, so if you "wipe out" you won't skin yourself on hard concrete.

Besides providing the wave for surfing, the 36,000 gallons of water per minute powers the Rip Tide slide. Grab a tube or a board or just go down on your own -- this slide is wide and wet and ends, conveniently, in the Lazy River. The Lazy River is the perfect place to relax. Grab a tube and float around the loop -- no physical exertion required.

Tomorrowland Exercise Facility

Take advantage of a facility with cutting-edge equipment including cardiovascular machines, free weights, exercise balls and all sorts of personal training opportunities. Visit your gym at sea and meet fitness instructors who can help design your workout. There will also be onboard "hikes" for individuals or families, where you can explore the ship and get exercise at the same time, as one of our "guides" leads you.

Adventure Sports Deck

Enjoy adventure sports such as kayaking, fishing, biking and white-water rafting--all while onboard the Disney Discovery! With special virtual equipment, all of these activities can be experienced by your family, for a fun and exciting way to exercise while cruising!

In the gym area, families can teach each other the "fads" of their generations with inline skates, hula hoops, roller skates, various style dance workshops, skateboards and other fun activities available.

Fantasia Spa

Discover a whole new you! Surround yourself in modern elegance at the Fantasia Spa. Massages, mineral baths, facials, and body wraps are all available to relax and rejuvenate you. We have private and family spa packages available. We also provide an onboard nail and hair salon with services for everyone in the family.

Downtown Discovery Shopping

Discover an array of shops onboard Discovery to complement your adventure with us. Decorated in the style of Main Street USA at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom park, Downtown Discovery has something for everyone including;

Have some real down-home country fare in this old-west style restaurant Open 24 hours and specializing in steaks and barbecue with a buffet-style family dining experience, complete with Disney character interaction. Cowboys and cowgirls will serve the food, along with some interactive diner activities like line-dancing, mechanical bull-riding and showdown shoot-outs. Diners can also opt for the dinner-theater inspired by Disneylands's "Golden Horseshoe Review" in a special dining area. Western fiddling, dancing and comedy are all part of this family revue. In the late evenings, adults can enjoy live western bands as they two-step on the large dance-floor in the bar.

Indiana Jones' Adventure Cafe

Enjoy an evening of adventures in dining as you sample Indian, Moroccan and African fare in this safari-themed restaurant. Discover Disney treasures as you are entertained by scenes from Disney-adventure films as they magically appear on the walls around you. Your wait staff "guides" will lead your family through treasure hunts with clues incorporated into your menu, your food and the decor around you.

The Royal Tea Room

Children of all ages will enjoy authentic high tea. Etiquette lessons, led by Mary Poppins and assorted Disney royalty, are sure to be entertaining for the whole family.

Journey to Tomorrow Diner

Discover the possibilities of space exploration in this unique restaurant. Aliens, robot, and spacemen will serve guests a fanciful assortment of "glowing," "flashing," and "flaming" foods as they sit under a specially designed planetarium ceiling that magically opens to an observatory of the real night sky. Telescopes are available throughout the restaurant so that diners can discover the treasures of the heavens.

Lumiere's Ballroom

Be our guest as families are welcomed to this formal restaurant for a three course meal. You can practice all the etiquette you learned at the Royal Tea Party! Formally attired characters will join in the fun. The dining room is a royal fantasy, modeled after the ballroom in Beauty and the Beast.
Later in the evenings, the restaurant is becomes a formal ballroom for couples to enjoy as they foxtrot and waltz the night away.

Lillian D's

Adults can experience the ultimate in luxury at Lillian D's. Named after Walt Disney's wife, this ultra modern themed restaurant, designed by the designers of the Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel, pampers guests with romantic ocean views and sumptuous French cuisine. Honeymooners and couples will especially enjoy the private tables available.

In addition to these restaurants, smaller 24-hour snack bars are available on each deck, each themed with the rooms on that deck.

Come discover adventure, fantasy, the frontier and tomorrow as we present Disney classic films and modern favorites. Films will run daily from 1:00 pm until 10 pm. Check your ship-board listings for titles and times.

Center Stage

Come discover Disney's newest Broadway-style production in an exclusive performance of The Little Mermaid's Undersea Adventure. Elaborate costuming, delightful music, and surprises await the guests at each show. One lucky guest will be chosen to take part in the show!

Discovery Stage

This is the place to exhibit all you've learned and accomplished during your Discovery workshops onboard! Show your animated short film, perform your dance number, sing and act on stage for an appreciative audience. All participants will receive Disney collectible pins.

Have you ever wondered how fireworks shows are put together? A class for teens and adults will describe how fireworks shows are designed and fired. Classes will have the opportunity to design their own show and then have reserved front row seats for viewing in the evening.

Journeys

Adults can enjoy a state-of-the-art futuristic nightclub, complete with laser-lit dance floor, techno-dance music, and "glowing," "bubbling," and "oozing" drink concoctions right out of a science-fiction movie.

The Tiki Room Club

Enjoy a Polynesian-styled atmosphere and tropical cocktails in this fun spot for adults. Fire-twirlers, knife tossers, native dancers and jungle boogie-ing are all there for your entertainment.

Fantasy Family Night Spot

A special night-club for the whole family. Non-alcoholic drink offerings, dancing with Disney characters, and bright fanciful decor make this a destination stop for family fun!
